The company Gramitech SA has developed and realized a new concept for utilisation of grass. The main products are insulation boards made from grass Gramitherm^®. We operate a production plant in Orbe (Switzerland) and sell Gramitherm^® directly ex works or via our distribution partners. Our customers are private home owners, processing companies (wood construction firms and craftsmen), architects and general contractors, and public building managers.

WHO ARE WE?

Stefan Grass:

Stefan has a diploma in agricultural engineering. He worked as head of product development and technical sales support, then project coordinator and project leader at the beginning of his career. Then he worked on Energy production from biomass at the University of California. He developed several projects in relation with the creation of ethanol from grass in Austria and Switzerland. Since 2004, he is the co-founder and general manager of Gramitech.

Antoine Poget:

Antoine studied at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne and at the Université de Lausanne. He has a degree in geology, a postgrad diploma in Science, Engineering and Environment Management. He worked at Granit before working at Gramitech where he is quality control and production manager, production line technical developer, technical advisor for customers and ERP administrator.

Marco Gonçalves:

Before working at Gramitech, Marco was employed as training & production manager, as well as bread baker and pastry cook from 1993 and 2006. Then he did a training to become Operator at Granit Technologies. His role at Gramitech is crew chief and production line operator.

Paulo Carvalho:

Paulo has a training industrial mechanic. He worked as a construction site driver, farm employee and truck driver in Portugal and Switzerland. Then he came to work for Gramitech where his role is: maintenance manager and production line operator.

Ricardo Lopez:

Ricardo is production line operator.

Gramitech is the only company in the world today that develops processes and products to exploit raw material grass for, mainly, building insulation.

The company’s products are 100% natural, friendly and safe to human and environment and offer excellent technical aspects in all targeted applications. The products are fully mature and marketed in Switzerland for most of the key applications.

Gramitech operates its own production and know how in Switzerland and sells products and licenses to worldwide customers, for the benefit of its shareholders and employees, customers and the environment.
